Before our Vibe Coding Session
Everything below is setup only, so we can spend our time together building rather than troubleshooting.
-
1. ๐ณ Get a paid Claude plan
Claude Code does not work on the free plan. The Pro plan is enough for our session: about $20 per month, or $17 per month billed annually. Max, Team, and Enterprise plans work too.
If ESSEC gives you a university or team Claude account, check whether Claude Code is already enabled on it before you pay for anything yourself.
Can't get a paid plan? Team up with a classmate who has one. This is only our second lesson, so it's a great excuse to get to know someone new. Message a classmate, agree to share their account for the session, and plan to sit together in class.See Claude pricing โ -
2. ๐ป Install the Claude app
Download the Claude app and log in with your paid Claude account.

3. ๐จ Set up the Claude app and try Claude Design
Open the Claude app, sign in, and finish any setup steps it asks for. Then open Claude Design to make sure you can access it.
You don't need to start using Claude Design yet, but feel free to explore if you're curious. -
4. ๐ Create a GitHub account

5. ๐ Create a Vercel account
Important: sign up with "Continue with GitHub." Using the GitHub account you just made links the two together, which makes putting your projects online a lot easier later.Go to Vercel โ -
6. โจ Experiment with Lovable About 25 minutes
This isn't meant to be an assignment. It's meant to be a fun way to see the power of vibe coding: you describe what you want in plain English, and Lovable builds it for you. Spend some real time here. Try building a small website or app, whatever sparks your curiosity, and see what it can do.
